This week's Sermon notes from Pastor Yvette!

God has a word for you! Be not afraid nor be dismayed by what you see. The battle is not your, but God’s. 

Therefore, you can stay encourage during warfare. Sometimes what we see can be distressing and taxing and we can’t see a way out, but God has a plan. He needs you to take action. Follow his instructions. Let God direct you. He has devised a plan to defeat your enemy.  However, in this battle, there is no need for you to even fight. God can give you victory and you didn’t have to lift a finger. All you need to do is:

            SET YOURSELF meaning to take your position. Take a FAITH position.  What are some faith measureables? We can increase faith or add to our faith.  Faith cometh by hearing the Word of God.

            STAND STILL meaning to stand firm, dig in or remain in place. Stop trying to deliver you. Rest on God’s Word and His promises.  We must continue to stand on the promises of God. They will not fail you.

            SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD. We can get distracted by stuff or things. Vision can be blurred by trials and our situation. They get magnified and God becomes smaller. Look up to me. Watch me work. I’m not hiding my hand from you. I’m revealing to that I am who I say I am. Watch me deliver, rescue, set you free. In Exodus, the enemy you see now you won’t see later.

What are you going to rely on?

            Your method/ways/strength or God’s methods/ways/strength. God goes unmatched against any opponent. We have to be willing to do it God’s way. His ways are higher than ours. Stop limiting the powerful God who can perform exceedingly abundantly above what you are thinking. God still has room to do what you  haven’t even thought of yet. Eyes have not seen, hears have not heard. Give God room to do the new things.  SEE The salvation of the Lord.

Get in position to win any battle. It’s time for action. As we go out and face whatever/whoever/wherever remember to believe in the  Lord your God and you be established, settled, fixed, upheld. Believe in his prophets, ye shall prosper; you will be successful.

Do you not know that while you are praising God, God is already fighting for you. God is already working against your enemies. He can send an angelic host of armies and slay your enemy before your eyes. Stop trusting more in what you can see. When you think your enemy has you surrounded. It may look like I’m surrounded, but you are surrounded by Him. God will deal with your enemy.  There is no need to fight this fight. There’s no need for you to fight this fight. Stop sweating over this fight, this battle. This battle is not yours, it belongs to the Lord. When you do it God’s way, God will in return not only give you victory, but give you overflow. God, make me rich.

Whatever battle you may be facing, don’t go alone, in your own strength. It matter what banner you are waving. It is your battle? Your own flag? Your name? Or is it Jehovah Nissi, the Lord my Banner.

Doing it God’s way will ensure you victory and defeat of what/who is trouble you.

Get ready. SET yourself, STAND STILL and SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD

FOR THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, IT BELONGS TO THE LORD.
